Hello everyone!

My name's Daniela Fontenelle-Tereshchuk, and I am a university lecturer at Mount Royal University. I often teach academic writing, writing with technology and English literature courses.

Going to my happy place to teach!

My background is mostly in Education, as I used to be a K-12 teacher for many years. At university, I often taught curriculum design courses and supervised student-teachers' practicum.

However, my greatest passion has always been writing! Every time I walk into a classroom, I always think how lucky I am to do what I love!!!

The great majority of my students are in their first year of university. I remember that in my first year of university, everything was exciting, but also challenging! so I GET IT! This blog focuses on connecting with students by talking about things that matter as you first start university - from academics to wellness!

Dr. Fontenelle-Tereshchuk graduated from the University of Alberta - PhD, 2019 and University of Calgary - MA, 2010. She has a long career teaching K-12 and university-level courses. She is also an avid writer with many publications (see Google Scholar). She works at Mount Royal University. Her hobbies are biking, yoga and photography.
